Wonder Girls Celebrate Earth Month by Cleaning Up the Community
High School Wonder Girls celebrated Earth month by cleaning up the community for our monthly volunteer day. Every month, Wonder Girls partners with local nonprofit organizations to teach our girls about social responsibility and the importance of giving back. Wonder Girls partnered with Keep Rockland Beautiful — a nonprofit organization dedicated to environmental initiatives to clean up an area in Rockland County that is often littered with garbage. The girls worked together to pack 10 bags of garbage from the side of the road. Representatives from Keep Rockland Beautiful explained the importance of keeping our communities clean for our own well-being and the overall mission of the organization. Our Wonder Girls got to network with other girls, gain hands-on experience and learn about the importance of social responsibility and the various careers in the non-profit sector, which is a key component of the Wonder Girls program.
